Woodruff Sweitzer Takes Three Top Awards at Regional NAMA Events

It’s always nice to be recognized for a job well done – but it’s especially nice when it’s your peers that do the recognizing. That’s what happened recently for Woodruff Sweitzer (WS) and our clients at several regional National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) award events. In total, we received 15 awards for six clients at the Region II, Region III and Region V Best of NAMA awards held throughout January.

Perhaps more humbling, though, was taking home three Best of Show awards at the end of the day. This speaks volumes of what peers think about our work and the subjects we explore for our clients.

In Region II, WS and AMVAC Chemical Corporation received the Best of Show award for Ag Audiences – Public Relations for cwt. This publication has established AMVAC as a business partner of potato growers by providing content focused on the business of growing potatoes, rather than production updates. Produced biannually, each issue of cwt focuses on a single editorial topic, outlining the multiple ways that a grower’s business can be impacted.

Also in Region II, WS and Diamond Pet Foods were awarded Best of Show – Specialty Audiences for our work with Dennis the Dachshund. Throughout his well-documented journey from 56 pounds to his ideal weight of 10 pounds, Diamond Pet Foods products were Dennis’s diet of choice. While working with Dennis, Diamond Pet Foods aimed to educate and engage pet owners about affordable ways to help obese pets get healthy and help keep all pets in shape.

In Region III, WS and Donaldson Company, Inc., received Best of Show for Ag Audiences – Public Relations for the Donaldson Clean Fuel & Lubricant Solutions Media Kit. The goal of the Clean Solutions media kit was to inform ag editors about problems with contaminated diesel fuel. The media kit contained a foam tube that opened up into a “workstation” that allowed the editors to compare a clean diesel testing patch with a dirty patch.

As Woodruff Sweitzer president and chief executive officer Terry Woodruff so aptly puts it, “We judge our success by how we achieve our clients’ goals, yet it is rewarding when the work of our teams is recognized for meeting the industry standards of excellence.”

To that end, a happy client and satisfied customer is all we need. But being recognized by peers within the industry is nice, too.
